TERMS AND CONDITIONS
LITTLE THINGS ART PRIZE 2026


BRIEF

Artists are invited to submit creative expressions of the ‘Little Things’ that make them feel happy and grateful. By focusing our attention on these positive moments, the science of Positive Psychology teaches us that it can contribute to our health and happiness. 


TWO CATEGORIES

1/ WALL WORKS

  • Entries must be SQUARE and measure no bigger than 25 x 25cm. THIS INCLUDES ANY FRAMING.

  • Only work that can be attached to the wall will be accepted.

  • Paper works can be mounted or framed, not exceeding the size requirement.

  • All mediums accepted including painting, illustration, photography, collage, printmaking and textiles.

  • No sculpture or video work will be accepted.

  • NB : CAN BE SMALLER THAN 25 X 25CM BUT MUST BE SQUARE

2/ CERAMICS

  • Entries must not exceed 8cm in any direction.

  • Ceramic works must be able to be displayed on a flat horizontal surface.

ELIGIBILITY

  • Entry is open to ALL AGES.

  • By entering ‘Little Things Art Prize’ you are confirming that you are the creator and owner of the work entered.

  • If selected, the work delivered for exhibiting must be EXACTLY THE SAME as uploaded image in registration.

  • Whilst all due care will be taken, any loss or damage to the artwork will be the responsibility of the Artist. Artists are responsible for the insurance cover of their entries.

  • It will be at the organisers discretion to refuse to accept works that are not delivered on time or deemed unsuitable for display, such as incorrect size or if the work delivered is not consistent with uploaded image entered.


ENTRY

  • Entries close August 30th, 2026

  • Non-refundable Entry Fee -
    Young Artist (<18) Entry fee $15 / Adult Entry fee $25

  • Multiple entries are permitted but each entry must be registered on a separate form.

  • Online registration will require entrants to upload an image of their work and write a statement about how the work relates to the theme.

  • PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THE ENTRY WILL BE JUDGED BASED ON THE PHOTO YOU UPLOAD. WE RECOMMEND NATURAL LIGHT AND CERAMICS PHOTOGRAPHED ON A PLAIN WHITE BACKGROUND. READ MORE UNDER ‘ENTRY TIPS’

  • Only the works selected by the Judging panel will be included in the Finalist exhibition.


JUDGES

Finalists and Prize winners will be selected by the 2026 judges :

The Judges’ decision is final on all aspects of awarding the prizes, and no correspondence or appeal will be entered into or considered.


FINALIST EXHIBITION INFORMATION

  • Finalists will be notified by no later than September 8th, 2026

  • Exhibition dates : October 2nd - 14th

  • Venue - PROJECT GALLERY

  • Artwork must be delivered in person (or by a representative*) to Project Gallery at 10A Queen St, Woollahra on Sunday September 27th or Monday 28th between 10am-1pm

  • PLEASE NOTE NO COURIER OR POSTAL DELIVERIES ACCEPTED

    *By representative we mean a person who is willing to deliver the work during the designated day/times and check in with the work ie name sign off, artwork check for condition and correct etc


SALES

  • All artwork must be available for sale during the exhibition.

  • All sales will be managed by Project Gallery.
    The gallery will receive a 50% commission on work sold.

PROMOTION

Artwork entered may be reproduced by any means, in any media for promotional purposes such as media coverage or online publicity, unless otherwise requested by Artist.  Images uploaded via registration may be reproduced in the ‘Little Things Art Prize’ catalogue, if selected as a finalist.
The catalogue will be available for sale during the exhibition.
